Female genitourinary conditions support homebound status through post-operative status and symptomatic disease; document the patient-specific evidence when present and do not overstate it.

Genitourinary-related evidence that supports homebound status

  • A post-operative gynecologic status requiring skilled care and activity restriction that, with other factors, makes leaving home a taxing effort.
  • Symptomatic prolapse or a pessary requiring skilled management that limits leaving home.
  • An acute gynecologic condition that limits leaving home safely.
  • A need for assistance and a taxing effort to leave home where genitourinary management is ongoing.
