Subjective — ask

  • Pain: claudication (distance to onset, relief with rest); rest pain (often nocturnal, relieved by dependency); or acute severe pain.
  • Swelling: onset, unilateral versus bilateral, and pattern.
  • Skin changes, ulcers, or wounds; coldness, numbness, or tingling.
  • Adherence and adverse effects of anticoagulants, antiplatelets, and vasodilators; compression tolerance.
  • Mobility and activity tolerance, and any change from baseline.
