1. Where this overlay applies

This is a disease overlay. The complete physical examination — inspection, auscultation, palpation, normal and abnormal findings, and the Mode A / Mode B narratives — lives in the parent assessment modules below. This overlay adds only the disease-specific monitoring, parameters, teaching, and escalation that layer on top of those examinations. Do not repeat the parent examination here.

Parent modules this overlay layers onto

  • Cardiovascular (SYS-CARDIOVASCULAR) — atrial fibrillation rate and rhythm and embolic-source context.
  • Peripheral Vascular (SYS-PERIPHERAL-VASCULAR) — deep-vein thrombosis and venous-thromboembolism surveillance.
  • Hematologic (SYS-HEMATOLOGIC) — bleeding and clotting findings and laboratory values.
  • Vital Signs (Core Domain) — hemodynamic signs of bleeding.
  • Foundations — the universal writing, skilled-need, and teach-back rules that apply to every visit.
