Subjective — ask

• Any new change in vision — blurring, double vision, floaters, flashes, a curtain, pain, or loss — and when it started.
• Adherence to eye drops and any difficulty with administration.
• The date of the last dilated eye exam, in diabetic and hypertensive patients.
• Eye pain, redness, discharge, or light sensitivity.
