  • Flushing and locking per protocol, port access and de-access, and occlusion troubleshooting within scope and order.
  • Drain management — emptying, measuring, recompressing, and site care — and enteral-tube care and feeding administration per order.
  • Home-infusion administration and pump management with verification of solution and rate.
  • Complication recognition and the skilled response to infection, occlusion, dislodgement, infiltration, or embolism.
  • Coordination with the provider and infusion or specialty services for orders, line changes, or removal, and cross-reference to Urinary/Renal, Respiratory, or Gastrointestinal for those devices.
