• Cerumen management within scope and order where it impairs hearing or aid function, after screening for contraindications.
• Hearing-aid fitting check and teaching of insertion, removal, cleaning, and battery care, with return demonstration.
• Communication-strategy reinforcement to ensure the patient can receive teaching (cross-reference Communication).
• Vestibular fall-risk mitigation and coordination with the provider and audiology or ENT as indicated (cross-reference Safety).
