Subjective — ask

• Any new or sudden change in hearing, in which ear, and when it started.
• Ear pain, drainage, ringing, or a feeling of fullness.
• Dizziness or vertigo — spinning versus light-headedness, triggers, and any associated weakness, slurred speech, or severe headache.
• Hearing-aid problems and any difficulty using or maintaining the device.
