Document each teaching point with topic, method, audience, and measured mastery (teach-back percentage or return-demonstration result), per Foundations — Teach-back and return demonstration.

  • Stroke warning signs (F.A.S.T. / BE-FAST) and the critical importance of calling 911 immediately — every minute counts.
  • Seizure precautions and what the caregiver should do during and after a seizure.
  • Neurologic-medication adherence and effects, and not stopping antiepileptics abruptly.
  • Deficit-related safety — fall prevention and adapting to weakness or sensory loss.
  • Recognizing and reporting a new neurologic change.
