Subjective — ask

• Symptoms of low glucose (shakiness, sweating, confusion) or high glucose (thirst, frequent urination, fatigue), and any change since the last visit.
• Adherence to the monitoring schedule, insulin or oral agents, diet, and the sick-day plan.
• Any missed doses, dosing confusion, or running out of supplies.
• Symptoms of thyroid over- or under-treatment, or of adrenal insufficiency in steroid-dependent patients.
