Physician or provider notification Notify the provider for new concerning nodes, lymphedema progression, a compression complication, or an at-risk-limb concern; document the finding, the time, the orders received, and the follow-through.
Escalate urgently for lymphangitis or cellulitis with fever and streaking, or a rapidly worsening lymphedema with systemic signs, and document the closed loop.
