• Skilled oral, dental, and throat assessment with trajectory tracking against baseline.
• Recognition and emergency escalation of airway-threatening oral and throat findings.
• Oral care and denture-care support and management of candidiasis, mucositis, and xerostomia per order.
• Coordination of the oral source of poor intake with Nutrition and of swallowing concerns with Taste/Swallowing.
• Skilled teaching of oral and denture hygiene and the signs to report, to competence with return demonstration.
• Coordination with the provider and dental services, and application of the Anticoagulation overlay for oral bleeding.
