  • Oral hygiene technique — brushing, tongue care, and denture cleaning and removal at night — with return demonstration.
  • Candidiasis and mucositis care and the prescribed antifungal or rinse regimen.
  • Dry-mouth measures — hydration, saliva substitutes, and avoiding drying agents.
  • The oral lesions and symptoms that require evaluation, including a non-healing lesion.
  • Denture-fit problems and sore-spot prevention, and when to seek dental care.
  • When to call the agency versus when to activate EMS (e.g. airway swelling, difficulty managing secretions).
