Neck / Thyroid
The neck structures, the thyroid gland, and the airway in the neck. Routed here: neck range of motion and structure, thyroid enlargement and nodules, tracheal position, neck masses, and swallowing-related neck findings. Systemic thyroid disease and glucose-metabolic effects live in Endocrine/Metabolic; lymph nodes live in Lymphatic; carotid bruits and jugular venous distension live in Cardiovascular; the airway proper lives in Respiratory.
This module supplies the structural neck and thyroid examination and the recognition of the neck-related emergencies — airway compromise, thyroid storm, myxedema, and post-thyroidectomy hypocalcemia — with the skilled language that proves the care took a licensed nurse. Systemic thyroid symptoms and thyroid-medication management are documented in Endocrine/Metabolic; lymph nodes in Lymphatic; carotid and venous findings in Cardiovascular. Each narrative is a structured example to edit to the actual visit and the patient’s orders — not a phrase to copy.
