• Skilled neck and thyroid assessment with tracheal-position and airway surveillance and trajectory tracking against baseline.
• Recognition and emergency escalation of airway compromise, thyroid storm, myxedema, and post-thyroidectomy hypocalcemia or hematoma.
• Post-thyroidectomy incision care and hypocalcemia surveillance per order.
• Coordination of systemic thyroid-symptom management and thyroid medication with Endocrine/Metabolic.
• Skilled teaching of thyroid-symptom recognition and post-operative warning signs, to competence with return demonstration.
• Coordination with the provider and, for a mass or nodal finding, referral and cross-reference to Lymphatic.
